Stages of predation. The language of online sex offenders

Abstract

Recently, it has been suggested that online sexual predation may reflect the stages of grooming during computer-mediated interactions. This Poster will provide results demonstrating that the transcripts of 43 convicted online predators use different patterns of language across distinct stages that reflect the face-to-face grooming process.
