Ilana Shumsky, MD

Dr. Lonnie Shumsky is an Internal Medicine physician who has spent her career as a clinician educator, first at the University of Utah and then at the University of Washington-Boise site. She has taught and mentored medical students and residents, developed curriculum, and was responsible for the creation of a multi-year board certification strategy for the UW residency program.  In 2021 Dr. Shumsky became the co-leader for the vaccine acceptance task force at her hospital, and in 2023 she completed a two year DCI fellowship at Stanford University.
