Why do people believe the phone is additive?

Why do people believe the phone is additive? In this project. one of our primary research questions is whether beliefs that the mobile phone is addictive is rooted not only people’s own experience with the phone, but in their perceptions of how others use the phone, especially when it leads to feeling ostracized. Consistent with this expectation, we apply attributional theory and examine how people attribute blame during phubbing.
